Employee Benefits

• Annual Leave: Accrual rate of 8 hours per month
   
• Sick Leave: Accrual rate of 10 hours per month with unlimited appreciation
  
• Military Leave: 15 days per year for military reserve duty
• Family Leave: Leave is provided employees to care for their immediate family members
• Health and Dental Coverage: The Riverside Regional Jail Authority (RRJA) supplements the cost of health and dental insurance. Employees may choose either Point of Service (POS) or Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) coverage
• Retirement: Provided through the Virginia Retirement System® (VRS) at no cost to employees. Sworn employees are also enrolled in the Law Enforcement Officer Supplement (LEOS) program
• Life Insurance: All employees are covered by the VRS group plan.
• Optional Group Life Insurance: Employees may purchase additional insurance beyond what is offered.
• Deferred Compensation: Employees can contribute through payroll deduction for an additional source of retirement income
• Credit Union: The RRJA is a member of the Vantage Point Federal Credit Union® and the Virginia Credit Union®
