Major Marvin R. Reynolds

Director of Inmate Services & Support

A former Deputy with the Alexandria Sheriff's Office, Major Marvin Reynolds joined Superintendent Hodge and Asst. Superintendent Minton in 1994 as a Sergeant, assisting with the development of Riverside Regional Jail policies and procedures pre-construction.

Majoring in Engineering and Business at Auburn University at Montgomery, Major Reynolds holds Associates Degrees in both Police Science as well as Business Administration from Northern Virginia Community College. Since 1989 he has been involved in the implementation of technology in the jail setting to include system development, population data, and personnel training.

Promoted to Lieutenant in 1996 and later Captain in 1997, Major Reynolds has been at the forefront in the development and implementation of new technological advancements at Riverside as well as several upgrades to existing technology. Promoted to Major in 2001, Major Reynolds is responsible for the supervision of 3 of the jail's 6 divisions (Medical, Programs, and Support Services).
